As with most new business ventures, the original intent was to make money. After going to quite a few carnivals as a child, the intoxicating environment remained entrenched in my heart, my brain, and my soul, well into adulthood. The Kool Karnival was an attempt to make it back into the carnival life that intrigued me as a child. I wanted the uniform shirts to reflect and equal balance of hard work and youthful exuberance that perhaps can only be found at the carnival — the smile on a child, cotton candy in their hand, the blinking lights, the joyful screams from the rides, operated by the workers like me, who understand what carnie life is all about. As the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, I started to realize that the dollar did not give me the same internal satisfaction as seeing a child win the coveted stuffed animal, the young man winning a prize for his date, the parent giving their victory trophy to their offspring. Money intake declined rapidly as I began to give players multiple chances to win a brief, yet important moment of happiness. Unfortunately, the Kool Karnival had to shut down, because enjoyment does not pay the bills. There are only a few staff shirts left - hopefully this can bring some joy to you. Kool Karnival embroidered in red above left chest pocket. Teddy bear face embroidered on left sleeve. Panda bear face embroidered on right sleeve. Shirt label is CornerStone by Port Authority, but it is the same shirt as those made by Red Kap / VF Imagewear. Machine washable. Shipped with USPS.
