  • Condition: This rare 1910s "Look Out " hinged litho pocket tobacco tin is in excellent condition with no rust, some tiny indents on the lid and some age related paint scratches and chips. It appears that a previous owner might have retouched a chipped area on the lid. There is a very small piece of tax stamp. The hinge is in excellent working order.

    Description

    This rare 1910s "Look Out " hinged litho pocket tobacco tin, measuring 4 1/2" x 2 5/8" x 5/8", is in excellent condition with no rust, some tiny indents on the lid and some age related paint scratches and chips.  It appears that a previous owner might have retouched a chipped area on the lid.  There is a very small piece of tax stamp.  The hinge is in excellent working order.  The tobacco was manufactured by J. G. Dill's Tobacco Company, Richmond, VA. in Factory 25,2nd District, VA.  This very  attractive green tin with orange and gold lettering features the "Look Out" brand trademark image of a life saving buoy encircling an image of a light house with men going out in lifeboats to rescue the crew from a schooner in distress.  The name "Look Out" is formed with letters made from rope.
