    This rare 1920s "Sterling" litho store display tobacco tin, measuring 11 1/4" x 8", is in good condition with some tiny superficial rust spots on the interior, two side dents and some age related paint scrapes and chips.  The hinge is in excellent working order.  This very attractive gold tin features red, green and white decorative imagery and lettering advertising the "Sterling Quality" of  "Sterling" tobacco.  The tobacco was manufactured by the Spaulding & Merrick Tobacco Company, Durham, NC.
