From The Web:
With its mighty jumbo body style, solid-top construction, stunning cosmetic features and premium electronics, the GJ72CE is a commanding acoustic/electric guitar that is built to perform. Featuring a solid spruce top and flame maple back and sides, the GJ72CE produces all the volume and robust sound that players expect from a jumbo guitar. The slim mahogany neck and 12-radius bound rosewood fingerboard provide great feel and playability, while the onboard Takamine TK-40D preamp system gives you a built-in tuner, 3-band EQ and gain controls, mid-contour switch, notch filter and EQ bypass switch for the ultimate in versatility and sound quality.
Other great features include a synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle, rosewood headcap, abalone rosette, abalone œreversed mountain inlay at the 12th fret, gold die-cast tuners with pearl buttons, and a beautiful gloss finish.
Spruce-topped maple gives you big, bold, and powerful sound
With its back and sides made of maple and massive jumbo body style, the Takamine GJ72CE is nothing short of a sound cannon. Maple has long been revered for its thunderous low end and airy, glittering highs, and the GJ72CE makes the most of this extended frequency range. When it comes to rich and dimensional tone, you couldn't ask for more than this.
Takamine's TK-40D preamp system delivers fully detailed sound onstage
The GJ72CE sports Takamine's TK-40D preamp, giving you rich, clear-sounding amplified output. In addition to a large volume knob, the TK-40D system on the GJ72CE gives you a tuner and an active shelving EQ with bass, middle, and treble sliders you can use to shape your sound. There's even a low-battery indicator onboard so you know when you need to swap out the 9-volt. Plug in to turn on the preamp, unplug to turn it off.
Over half a century committed to quality, playability, and wonderful sound
The Takamine GJ72CE acoustic-electric guitar is the result of over a half century of Takamine guitar crafting know-how. Launched in 1962 at the foot of Japan's Takamine mountains, Takamine has been designing and building acoustic guitars that are seen in the hands of some of music's biggest stars. With quality and value as guiding principles, Takamine's instruments employ the finest tonewoods, construction techniques, and technical innovations such as the proprietary preamp system found in the GJ72CE.
