Vintage 1890s Empty Jewel Of Virginia Cameron & Cameron Tobacco Tin.
Item is a vintage empty tobacco tin which held Jewel of Virginia Tobacco distributed by Cameron & Cameron of Richmond Virginia.
Green tin measurers 3 7/8” long x 2 7/8” wide x 1 7/8” high.
Dark green tin with the black printing makes it difficult to get decent pictures, except for the bottom.
Bottom has a citation about Cameron &Cameron winning the highest prize at the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893for cigarettes, smoking mixtures and cut plug tobacco.
This tin rates at Fair with numerous areas of missing paint down to the base metal tin and shows extensive wear except for the bottom and the two long sides. Has a dent on the top. Submission of a bid or purchase of the item is an acknowledgement on the part of the bidder/buyer that there are numerous paint chips along with fading on this tin and the condition is as shown in the jpegs.
