Vintage Climax Thin Plug Chewing Tobacco Display Tin w/ 2 Sections & Hinged Lid

Vintage Store Display Tin for Climax brand Thin Plug Chewing Tobacco. Manufactured by the P. Lorillard Company in 1st District, Ohio. The company began in 1760 and is the oldest tobacco company in the United States. Climax chewing tobacco was being made by 1890. Hard to say how old this particular tin is, but it appears to be turn of the century.
The box measures 12 inches long by 3.25 inches wide and 2.5 inches high. It is all metal with a hinged lid. The interior is divided into two sections.
There is appropriate wear to the surface and edges with some paint loss, but most remains. There is almost no rust, only minor rust on the hinges. The lid fits fine.
